The Newark Trust for Education recently launched Campaign Central, a robust set of strategies, resources and activities to provide Newark voters with objective, nonpartisan, up-to-date information about the Newark Public Schools Advisory Board election on Tuesday, April 19.
As an important part of the initiative, the Trust is hosting a free public forum on Tuesday, April 5 that will provide voters an opportunity to hear the candidates discuss pressing issues facing the city’s educational system. This facilitated discussion will include questions gathered from the public through a community survey hosted on the Trust’s website, as well as via social media.
Campaign Central features a “Meet the Candidates” page that will soon have information about each of the 12 candidates running for three seats on the board, including their goals and aspirations for Newark schools.
In addition, the Trust’s website will update continually with the latest information about the race, fact sheets, issue briefs, as well as thought pieces from some of the leading voices in education.
